Yup, you see right. He's got his very first black eye. And need I remind you, he's not even 2!
So, how did it happen? The 3 of us were at the park enjoying a lovely Friday afternoon. Mateo was running everywhere, up the stairs, down the slide, over and over again. I was relaxing on a bench near by while Papa was trying to keep up with our crazy little boy. He was going up the stairs for the millionth time, missed one of the steps and fell face first. By the time we got home we tried putting ice but it was too late. So, this is what he ended up with. Oh my!

poor mateo...i guess you have to get use to it since you have a very adventurous kid
