after a 4 hour excursion to the outlets on new years eve we picked up some yummy chinese food and had a relaxing dinner at home. we didn’t know whether or not mateo would make it till midnight so we all jumped in our pjs and popped his favorite movie “Cars” in. after almost dozing off here and there we looked at the clock and it was 5 minutes till. so in a panic we shut off the movie, turned on dick clark and threw our funny hats on. at that point i’m still not sure what happened but something inside the little boy went off. maybe it was the people partying on tv, the crazy hats and noise makers we had or simply because it was way past his bedtime but he turned into a crazy dancing machine yelling “happy new year!” at the top of his lungs. it was the funniest thing!
now that the holidays have come and gone our next big thing to look forward to is…PONYO! yeah, that’s right we still don’t have a name so ponyo it is for now. this past weekend and for the next few ones coming up we’ll be doing some serious nesting. unfortunately, i’m not one of those crafty mama types but i do know how to do 2 things really well… 1) organize and 2) shop! so, while papa’s doing all the hard stuff like moving furniture, painting and everything else i’ll simply be purging and making room for all the new goodies i’m adding to our household :-)

...it was amazingly a well-choreographed bash without the preparations and a well-attended noise bangers' event with everyone up and about...i admit i was getting sleepy too but now i know too well where running springs is and mater, guido, doc, etc.....Happy New Year, Mateo......and all....
oopps....i meant radiator springs, mateo....i guess i wasn't that awake after all....fyi...running springs is up a notch by crestline where your auntie bebe/emie live.

Organizing and shopping are two of my favorite past-times as well! Next time you guys come down to so-cal el and I have a pizza place you've got to try in Laguna Beach, called Gina's SO GOOD! I would be curious to hear how it rated on your family's scale. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
