after a few days of relaxing and hanging out with family, it was finally easter morning. the first thing we did was go to church with lola. it's always nice to go back to cw where everyone feels like family. i used to teach sunday school there and it amazes me how much the kids have grown. i could hardly believe that these teenagers were the little 4-5 years old i used to read bible stories to. time really does fly by!
after church everyone started piling in at my parents' house. my mom (being the big party planner that she is) had a dress code. the boys were requested to wear ties and the girls to wear hats. well...the hat thing didn't really come to fruition but the little boys sure looked cute all decked out in their ties.
us...
my boys and their red pants!
lolo jun and garrett...
quin and auntie jerrylyn. look at his smile! doesn't it make you wanna squeal?
brothers...
boys, boys, and more boys and this isn't even all of them. not pictured: tyler and eli (who was fast asleep with papa upstairs).
finally, the much anticipated easter egg hunt was about to begin. almost ready!
and then they were off. papa tried showing eli what to do. find an egg, put it in the basket. seems simple and fun right? well, apparently eli was still a little pissed that we woke him up from his nap. every time papa put an egg in his basket he'd grab it and throw it right back out while saying "no papa!" poor grandma spent all this time (not to mention money) and this is how it goes. oh well...it was still super cute and we at least got a good laugh.
happy easter everyone!

oh grandma nida and her dress code! you know all those boys are going to grow up telling stories of how she made them dress like that - just like how you and your cousins laugh at your own pictures growing up! ah memories!
