We know that God moved us up here for all sorts of reasons and one of them is definitely growth. He wants to grow us, grow our marriage, and grow our family. So, this past week we saw His plan in full swing. Mateo got sick, his molars were breaking through and was also learning to throw fits all at the same time. Combined with the stress of work for both Albert and I it turned out to be one heck of a week for the 3 of us. But, thankfully God didn't bring us up here to do it all alone. Yeah, we don't have the family we do back home but we still have Him. He not only guided us last week but He actually carried us through it. Without Him I can't imagine what the outcome would have been. But, with Him we got through it and became stronger.
Sunday afternoon we began to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Mateo started to feel well and was in a much better mood. So, we took advantage of the breakthrough and went to the park on what must have been the most gorgeous day so far this year. Here is where we saw him smile in almost a week's time. We definitely missed this smile!
