An afternoon train ride

Sunday afternoon we wanted to treat Mateo to something special, something he'd really like to do. We thought of all different sorts of things like going to the museum or even up to the snow. But, after coming up with all these grand plans we realized that he'd like nothing better than to enjoy an afternoon train ride. It didn’t even have to be a special kind of train just any one would do. So, we made our way into the city.

This first picture is very deceiving. I’m sure you’re thinking…Wow! Mateo is one patient little boy. Look at him, sitting still waiting for the train to arrive. Yes, this is true in this one special very special circumstance but trust when I say it’s a rare sight to see!


After waiting for a bit the train arrived and we got on. He was as happy as can be.


It took us from the river front through downtown hopping off here and there to shop a few shops. Before we knew it we were back at our stop saying Bye! to the train.


A wonderfully mellow afternoon it turned out to be.
