at about 4 o’clock sunday morning i woke up to go on my hourly potty run and realized that i was craving dim sum. so, as soon as the boys woke up i told them the plan and they were both totally on board. it made for a very happy mama.
jin wah! yum yum yum!

this boy loves himself some dim sum. he shovels it in his mouth like there’s no tomorrow. it's no joke. you can even ask my mom.

then, we took our full bellies downtown to the chinese garden. i can’t believe this is the first time we’ve ever been but now that we have we know we’ll definitely be back. can’t wait to take ponyo there when the cherry blossoms are blossoming. it's gonna be unreal.

we perused the garden, watched the dragon dance, and did a little bit of arts and crafts.

what a wonderful way to celebrate on such a wonderfully beautiful day. now, my only other wish is that the sun would stay!

Mateo, you look cool. You are Mr GQ. Love you.
Jp and I had dim sum the first time yesterday... So yummy!!!
teo...that poised shot of you beside the pool amidst the weeping willow sprays is so sweet and innocent-looking....very endearing; so is the shot on the myriad 'seeds' on mosaic floor; ditto w/ the boy and his paper lantern....we could make a whole story just on those 3 shots....i will read it to you when i come see you...it is titled "Mateo at the Garden of Enchantment on a Wintry New Year's Day"....you like it???? (nice shots, tiff).
