fun with lola

first off, i'm relieved to report that mateo, eli, and i survived 3 days by ourselves while papa was away. i know 3 days doesn't seem all that long but when you have a very active 3 1/2 year old paired with one who's just 6 weeks and still feeding around the clock, 3 days seemed like an eternity. needless to say, we can't begin to explain how happy we were when lola arrived.

she came to keep us company and the timing couldn't have been better because the tulips in woodburn were in full bloom. so we made our way to the tulip festival and had a grand time.




now that i'm looking at the pictures they don't do the field justice at all. i should have taken a picture of the rows upon rows acres upon acres of tulips. they go on forever. oh well, there's always next year.

one can only imagine how amazed lola was to see this sight for the very first time. but, what in the world did mateo do to have such a grand time? he got to "drive" a real life tractor!



there was also a play area with bounce houses, slides, and lots more for all the kids to do. mateo's favorite was this tire swing.



now, the week is over and that means papa is coming home!
