the weather has been quite gloomy lately but today the sun finally came out to play so we made a mad dash to the park just in case it decided not to stay. mateo and lolo brought their toys they've been waiting all week to fly and mateo was up first.
here he is getting last minute tips.

and crash!
i wanted to get a picture of it airborne but it lasted maybe a few seconds before tumbling furiously to the ground. turns out the batteries needed charging. fail!
next up, lolo. he brought out the big one named sharkey.
around and around the propellers went getting ready to go up, up, up and away. it finally got up but lasted even shorter than the little one before crashing to the ground. double fail!

after both of the failed attempts there were no more helicopters to fly. so, mateo made the most of it and played on the playground instead.
we promised him we'd try the helicopters again. so, here's hoping for another post with a little more success.

..and who says only 13 yr. olds can fly a helicopter? i know of a 3 yr.old who can do that!!!! "..down from the ceiling, mateo....down...ooopsss....wipe out."....the outside range is more challenging.....your instructor needs to beef up his skills in flying helis....as well as teaching techniques....well, there's always next time....you learn fast, teo.
