we made it!

friday night my two boys and i started our 3 week cali adventure. can you believe it? 3 whole weeks! man, i love being on maternity leave. maybe i should start thinking about doing it permanently :)

since papa is working on the road (geez...i'm starting to sound like a broken record huh) that means it was me, myself, and i with the boys on the plane. sounds crazy right? well, praise God it turned out that i had absolutely nothing to worry about. eli was a doll and practically slept the entire flight. he didn't make one peep while big brother mateo busted out his professional traveling skills and was my big time helper.

the major challenge i tried with all my might to avoid was mateo having to go to the bathroom mid flight. can you imagine what a nightmare that would be? sure enough it became my reality and somehow someway we managed to get through it...just the 3 of us.

anyhow, we made it safe and sound and even though it was late at night we had family at the house waiting to welcome us...grandpa, grandma, grandpa george, grandma carol, chris, dina, cousin tyler (the newest boy added to our family), kevin, jerrylyn, and cousin gavin. oh yeah! now that's the way to start a vacay!
