10.01.10 - the inevitable

i knew the day would eventually come. i just didn’t expect it to come so soon. luckily, a couple months earlier albert and i made some plans. some quite ingenious plans, if you ask me. i mean, what better way to celebrate the big 3-0 than in V-E-G-A-S baby!

the decision was spontaneous. seriously, it all happened in the blink of an eye. i pitched the idea to albert, he said YES! and within 15 minutes i called my mom, i called lonnie, and the flight was booked. we were heading for vegas!

i’m honestly not much of a birthday person. i’m one of those people that can go the entire day and not care if it’s mentioned at all. i know, kinda weird huh. but, this was no ordinary birthday. no siree! this was me having to say goodbye to my 20’s and HELLO 30! i had to do it right.

the 4 day weekend was everything i hoped for. sleeping in till we could sleep no more. walking the strip with my boys and the rest of the crew. lounging poolside with a cocktail in hand. eating it up like there was no tomorrow and dancing till the break of dawn. oh and of course some gambling too.







thank you! thank you! thank you! for all the birthday love. i feel so undeserving but oh so blessed by my family and friends. i pray that this new year, this new decade of my life i can be just as much of a blessing to all of you.
