five. it's a pretty darn big deal. so this year we threw mateo his very first friend party here in oregon. he got a chance to invite all his friends and boy does he have a lot of them. there's so many that we decided we can only have these kind of parties every 5 years. so, i hope he really enjoyed it cause it's not happening again until he's 10. ahhh 10!!!
with it being the month of november there's pretty much a 100% chance of rain and since our house is a wee little one we had to rack our brains thinking of a place to hold this special birthday party. we ended up at the portland children's museum and it was perfect. we had the entire museum all to ourselves giving mateo and all his friends the chance to run around and do anything they pleased. plus, there was a lego exhibit and mateo is totally into legos right now. see, it was perfect.

i should have gotten a picture of everyone but i was too late. once they started there was no turning back. there was no stopping them.
as the time started to wind down i could tell the kids were getting pretty tired. they were playing so hard. trying to do as much as they possibly could. haha. the party ended with everyone sitting down for some cupcakes...
