my mom came up with the grand plan to take him to vegas on his 60th birthday weekend. however, she failed to mention that she invited everyone to join. his brothers, her sisters, cousins, friends. it was going to be an epic surprise!
the festivities started saturday morning when we pulled up to the filipino restaurant for brunch. he walked in and everyone yelled, "SURPRISE!" i'm sure he was a bit overwhelmed at first but after seeing all those faces he couldn't be more happier and was feeling the love.

i know i did an absolutely awful job of taking pictures and documenting this very special weekend. shame on me. i guess i'll just have to make up for it when we continue the 2nd party of the celebration in florida!
