day 5

i first went to epcot on a family vacation when i was about 8 years old. with it being so long ago i don't remember many details but i know we had so much fun. one story i do remember is about jerrylyn. as we were pulling up in front of epcot and saw the big ball for the very first time i remember her telling my mom, "pinch me auntie nida. i can't believe i'm here. pinch me! i think i'm dreaming." she was so excited i think she was almost in tears. haha. now, it's more than 20 years later and i'm here with my own boys. wow, time really does fly.

the day consisted of quite a few character sightings. lucky for mateo and eli, they had a whole crew standing by. me with the camera, lonnie with the autograph book, and everyone else standing behind the camera trying to get their attention and yelling, "cheese!" most importantly, eli had papa to strategically hold him in place when he wasn't too sure about the funny looking and sometimes scary characters.

let's play a game...can you find papa?

we also went around the world in one afternoon. we started in japan for some lunch and a little bit of karate action.

shopped in morocco.

drank german beer in (of course) germany.

and ended the tour with shaking our booties in mexico.

oh and i can't forget to mention the coin collection mission. i think it was auntie pia who officially started it off with buying mateo's very first penny at universal. he held onto it so tight as if it was worth millions. a couple days later uncle juice bought the collector's book at the magic kingdom and from then on him and teo went crazy. they literally stopped at every single machine in the "world". after about 20 something dollars in quarters he has a pretty impressive collection to show.
