some nike fun

wow! has it really been almost a month since my last update? my how time flies. for awhile there it was pretty mellow. we were in between visitors so we rested up at the same time as doing a few projects around the house. now we're busy busy busy trying to get the most out of what's left of summer and i have lots of updating to do. so here goes...

footwear family fun day. last year we went for the first time and it was practically the best day of mateo's life. so of course we had to go again. and why not...everything is free! rides, food, drinks, even snow cones, popcorn and smoothies. all free! even the parents have the time of their lives.

the moment we arrived it was already so overwhelming. i had no idea there were so many bouncy house things that existed in the world.


the boy's favorite were the slides, specifically the lightning mcqueen one. he went up and down so many times.


sometimes he'd go forward...


other times backward...


we never knew what way he'd come down. but somehow someway he always did.

he finally took a break and had a snow cone. here, it looks like he's enjoying himself but he really didn't like it. actually, he really doesn't like sweets. no ice cream, no cake, no candy. it's quite strange but i guess i can't complain.


only seconds later he was back out there. this time he decided to try something different and went on the swings. he liked it so much he went two times in a row.



but not too long after the second time around started we quickly learned that wasn't such a good idea. the poor little boy looked like he was about to barf. luckily he didn't but he knew he had enough. so of course he headed back to more slides.
