berry picking

mateo and his class went berry picking at west union gardens today. it was exciting times getting out with his friends and doing something special that only the preschoolers get to do.

the strategy...twist and pull. if it doesn't come off easily then it's not ready.


it took him awhile to get into it. but, when he finally did he went into his laser focus mode. wandering up and down the rows inspecting every single little berry he could find.



in the end, mateo and his friends had buckets full of berries. but, it is these golden berries (and cute little evie) that stole the show. definitely my favorite berry of all time!


and of course, we couldn't leave the patch without snapping a quick pic of these 3 (mateo, isaiah, and luc) in their power ranger pose.


it doesn't matter where they are...boys will be boys.
