celebrating the 4th

grandpa and grandma stayed to celebrate the 4th and it was a splendid time. here they are with the boys in their july 4th outfits. no matter what holiday it is, grandma always makes sure they're dressed for the occassion.


we relaxed at "the beach" where the boys got some much needed fountain time in the glorious 80 degree weather.


i stuffed poor eli into these swim trunks that are supposedly 3-6 months. i doubt a 6 month old would be even close to this size but eli didn't quite fit either. his rolls were hanging out. haha.




then, we shopped a bit before having dinner at famous dave's where we indulged in an all american bbq feast.




finally, we ended our celebration with some fireworks of course. it was mateo's favorite part of the day. in fact, according to him it was his favorite part of grandpa and grandma's entire stay.
