saturday morning we got up earlier than usual, dressed him in his conductor uniform, and were out the door. on the way we kept asking him if he knew yet. maybe he figured it out because of what he was wearing. but, he still had no clue at least until he saw this…

thomas the tank engine was in town! i wish i could've read his mind (like edward cullen, my new favorite. hehe.) and knew what he was thinking but i could only imagine how much in awe he was. during the train ride he sat by his buddy logan and was so quiet and still. he gets like this when he’s so excited. i think it’s cause he's trying to soak it all in.

after saying bye to thomas we roamed around hood river. i know i’ve said it a million times before but i have to say it again…i absolutely LOVE this place. and now i love it even more cause it's where twilight was filmed. hehe. the drive out is relaxing, the town is quaint, and the columbia river gorge is breathtaking.
we went to the petting zoo…

had some ice cream…

then, headed down to the water…

i'm hoping we can go back soon so we can stop by all the twilight spots. anyone wanna join us on our twilight tour?

oh man i thought "mateo's big surprise" was that you were preggers! are you? hm? mateo really looks happy and i love that his quietness when he's excited is because he soaks it all in. i've seen kids like that. so cute.
