it was a 6 hour drive full of the boy being silly...

and story after story. i don’t know how many other ways i could've told a story about mateo and diego riding a train. but nevertheless we made it safe and sound.

before checking into the hotel we stopped by gonzaga. do you think it's too early to start looking at colleges for the boy? ok, maybe it is but we were really there so papa could work. i think uncle jared had a pretty fantastic time.

the small city of spokane was hosting hoopfest, the largest 3-on-3 basketball tournament on the planet. probably the coolest thing is that about 40 city blocks were closed off and hundreds of hoops were set up for the thousands of games that were played.

it was packed to the brim with every single type of basketball player you can imagine…young/old, boy/girl, good/not so good. even papa and his crazy team played.

they also had activities for the little ones.

but i'm sure once mateo is old enough he'll be out there on the courts playing with the rest of them. 3rd grade...it will come soon enough.
